Getting to Know Claire...

My name is Claire Pantella. I am a senior here at Bloomsburg High School however, I moved here my sophomore year from Charlottesville, Virginia. I am heavily involved in our art department here at BHS. I have been president of the National Art Honors Society for two years, I have taken several independent AP Studio Art courses, and I am preparing to go to art school in the coming fall.

This is my second year as part of the journalism team. I decided to take journalism out of my curiosity for a creative writing course at BHS. When I found out I could take journalism I was thrilled by the idea of seeing “By: Claire Pantella” in print. Along with writing articles for the school newspaper, I am creating a bi-weekly creative feature on our website. This article comes out twice a month and spotlights what is going on in our art departments. Through this feature, students and staff are able to stay informed about news in the art room, band, chorus, and other clubs/activities. Articles showcase student’s success, projects, and upcoming events while also updating recent student affairs and development. I am excited about the many articles to come and new additions to the BHS journalism team this year!
