Bloomsburg vs Principal

Recently Bloomsburg High School has been experiencing some changes. Top of the list being the transfer of our former principal Mr Manley from Bloomsburg High School, to Bloomsburg University. While Bloomsburg is happy for Mr Manley making his way up the chain, it has left the high school in a bit of an interesting situation. Both before, and after Mr Manley left, the school has been on the hunt for a new principal. Which isn't as easy as one may think. This has called for a new system.
While the board of directors are still searching for a principle, we have had some people stepping in. We are lucky enough to currently have our interim Mr Tripler! He has been very open to meeting all the students. Some information about Mr Tripler would be, he actually retired a year ago but is just here to help us out. “I am glad to be here as I have met great staff and students here. I look forward to meeting more and being a part of Bloomsburg High School while they look for a permanent person.” Mr Tripler said. “I have been impressed with the professionalism of the staff and their helping me learn about the culture of Bloomsburg High School. I have also met some great students who are respectful and polite and they have been kind enough to laugh at some of my bad jokes.” he teased.
Many people have been wondering why the school is having such difficulty finding a new permanent principal. My Tripler had some insight on that. “Choosing a principal is like a marriage. You want to take your time and find the best person for the future of the school. You don’t want to rush!” Which makes sense. We couldn't get just anyone as a principle. Many people don't know that you need to get certified to become a principal. This means you need to have experience as a teacher first and then to go back to school to get your principal’s certification. Which I'm sure makes the search troublesome.
Mr Tripler is very interactive with the Bloomsburg High School students. Getting to know them, asking questions, learning about the school. When enquiring if he enjoyed this position his response was “I enjoy being a part of a school and being part of a family. If I didn’t enjoy being a principal, I would have stayed retired!”
